Ground Texture Plus and SkyMax for FS2004. 2 new textures pack for FS2004 arrived. Details are found here for the ground, and there for the sky. Does anybody know of a good ground texture download that is freeware for FSX. FS9 can't make use of 1024 ground textures, you're seeing the 256 mip level which is no different than default in terms of resolution. 1024 ground textures in FS9 serves no purpose, it just consumes unnecessary disk space, and if they're not mipped they won't show up at all. Superspeed ramdisk plus. ![]() Further, the autogen will be a mess if doesn't match the textures, you'll have forests showing up in fields, houses in water, etc.and FSX autogen won't work in FS9 - it's a completely different format. Shin chan movies download. BTW where are you getting 2048 or 4096 textures from FSX? Freeware FSX scenery files. Converted to 1024 x 256 colours down-sized from either 2048 or 4096. Because of the higher resolution to start with, they look far better and sharper then default when reduced. Seen some guys do it with the high res REX clouds so I tried it with ground textures. Also a certain replacement texture set has been done for fs9. Looking at some clips and screenshots, far superior to what I've got with GePro including city areas which look like FSX resolution. So I reckon it can be done. Has been done. Admittedly, up close - down low - not so great. Up higher.fantastic! I haven't used Fs2004 since FSX was released, I now use Prepar3D. I have an old laptop that I refuse to upgrade because of my work files and setup that cannot be cloned. It will NOT run FSX or P3D or X-Plane 10, but will run FS2004 flawlessly. To appease my Flightsim addiction while away from my Desktop I have decided to build up my laptop FS2004 to be as realistic as possible and to use all of the addons I bought for fs2004. I would like suggestions as to what I need to get FS2004 up to scratch, and make it a world beater. I have VOZ scenery for Australia, FSNavigator and the Aeroworx B200 and the good old LevelD 767 but I've been away from it for too long to be abreast with all of the changes and addons available. What do I need for weather, scenery, mesh, aircraft, flight planning, tools and any other suggestion. My goal is to have maximum possible realism for FS2004. All suggestions appreciated.
